MISSION & HISTORY.
As a Canadian, we all can resonate with the feeling of missing a piece of home. The founders of Eraa are not any different. The two brothers fled Sri Lanka due to the civil war and made Canada their new found home in the late 1980s. Although they faced many struggles, it was always a delight to come home to authentic home cooked meals. But in the early years this was not possible for growing in the South Asian community with limited access to ethic grocery selection and most importantly spices. In 1994, the brothers opened a small supermarket called Eraa Supermarket at 2607 Eglinton Ave. E. This was a way to bring back the flavours of authentic south Asian fruits and vegetables groceries accessible to the community. Just to fix the missing piece in everyone’s heart.
Over the years, Eraa felt the need to bring more flavour that matched the taste of home. ERAA launched its own brand of products to deliver on quality. Since the start of the branding, it has added from curry powders to instant products to meet the new/young generations at an affordable price.
To cater more customers with more varieties of ERAA brand, our new location was open in 2012 at 5930 Finch Ave. East. This expansion caters not only for the south Asian community but to other communities including the mainstream. Whether it be produce, groceries or fish/meat. You name it, we got it at an affordable price.
ERAA HOPE FOUNDATION.
Eraa Hope Foundation (EHF) had the vision and felt the need for the rehabilitation through integration for orphaned and destitute children under one roof. We are in the process of accommodating nearly 75 children in total with the age group of 5 to 18. Many of this children are orphans let go by their parents or relatives for one reason or another. Hence, we would like to take an initiation in making their lives happy in part of that we are planning to provide food, shelter, clothes, medical aid and mainly education.

Eraa Supermarket is the supermarket division of Eraa Group, a family owned business, was founded in 1994 to provide an affordable variety of South Asian products to everyone’s home. With that goal in mind, and all of your support, we have now been able to expand our operations while offering the same great products at two locations, to better serve you.
With 26 years of experience and one goal in mind we have brought taste of home to our stores through Eraa Brand Products. We have a multitude of items from Rice, Dhal, Spices to Oil, Pooja items and more. These products are created aiming for the highest quality at the most affordable prices. Our mission has been to provide customers with exceptional quality, service and value.

Eraa Catering and Bakery was established in 2015 in Toronto, Ontario. Eraa Catering and Bakery been severing over 100,000 customers in the Scarborough-Rouge Park community. Our goal is to bring genuine and authentic South Asian Cuisine at reasonable rate. We strive for prompt, efficient and courteous service to leave an impressionable mark on our customers.
